Marilee Jones, Dean of Admissions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) will speak about the changes in today’s college admissions climate and offer advice about guiding students successfully through the process in a way that nurtures self-esteem and self-reliance.
Ms. Jones is an outspoken critic of today’s college admissions system and the stress it induces in both students and parents. Ms. Jones has been featured on CBS, ABC and NPR and profiled in USA Today, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. She is the co-author of Less Stress, More Success: Guiding Your Child Through The College Admissions Process and Beyond, scheduled for publication in Fall, 2006.
